Guest guest
From sandpiper I am a little confused by the post by renaissanc242322@a... She > posted a bread recipe that had several non-vegan ingredients with > Vegans in the subject line of the post. reply from Renaissance I apologise if the use of Honey in my recipe was offensive to you, for not being a Vegan I had no Comprehension that Honey was not eaten by Vegans? Indeed the Vegans that I know in the UK and Europe use Honey as a staple food proclaiming it to be a wonder food and the most naturale and friendly! I understand how you feel tho' as I have Vegan friends that will not eat any root veg as it can kill the insects living in the ground, when the potatoes, carrots turnips ect are dug up> I also know many who will not eat fruit just incase they bite into a bug and kill it! And of course we all lament when a bug gets splattered on the windshield of the car, do we not? For myself I have never seen any Bee shackled to a beehive or penned into a cage, And for all the concern over the very minuscule puff of wood smoke to calm the bees, I have no doubt that if they were upset or harmed they would soon swam and move on! If the subject line on my posting confused you then again I apologise as at my age I tend to be forgetful and maybe I did not change the subject line. Plus I would have thought that Vegans (or anyone) would adapt any recipe posted to suit their moral needs. Again on reflection I find I May have made a mistake I joining this group as I was under the impression that it was an adult group whose aims were to swop ideas, post favorite foods and light heartily chat? Next time I will chance the Spanish Inquisition food group. PS its not She but He. I thank you for your indulgence. ray

I replied to someone who said that, explaining it was probably a simple subject-line-not-changed, which happens all the time, and really probably was no big deal. I'm sorry, Ray, if this caused you to leave. I do hope you reconsider!! We've really enjoyed your postings here, and would love to have you return.
