Guest guest
I used this name since I'm always asked to make these for school bake sales. They appear to be a top seller. Bake Sale Oatmeal Cookies 1 1/2 cups flour 2 tsps. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar 3/4 cup butter or margarine (softened) 2 tsps. vanilla 2 large eggs 3 cups old fashioned oats, uncooked 1 cup dried cherries, cranberries or raisins 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips Preheat oven to 350 and grease cookie sheet. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt. In a large mixing bowl cream butter and both sugars until fluffy. Beat in vanilla, and eggs one at a time. At a low speed add the flour mixture slowly. Stir in the oats, dried fruit and chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2-inches apart on prepared cookie sheet. Bake 11 to 14 minutes until tops are golden brown. Cool on wire rack.
