Guest guest
Hey Pat, perhaps you might know this. I remember eating little sandwiches that my mom would make. It was white bread with butter, some type of potted meat and what my mom called watercress. But the watercress that I've bought since is really peppery and I remember this to be pretty bland. Sometimes we just had watercress on bread and butter. What other type of sprout could this have been? Mmmm, I still love cheese and cucumber sandwiches, cheese and Branston Pickles sandwiches and tomatoe and cheese sandwiches; all things my mom would make for me. Guest guest
Hi Denise - Dunno about the cress sannies - not a veg that I've ever bothered with much. (Time to change all that, I think.) As for cheese and cucumber, etc., sannies - yes dh and I are both nutty over cucumber and put them in with soycheez or tomato or just about any kind of sandwich we make. I even slice them very thinly (using a potato peeler) and sub them for lettuce (when we run out) to pile on burgers with the obligatory tomato etc. in the bun. Food preferences like this are funny - no rhyme or reason to them LOL Sorry no help over the watercress or whatever. The only one I know is indeed peppery :=) Best love, Pat
