And it gives dishes that have liquid in them some beautiful deep color, just a wonderful all around veg. Don't say nuthin' bad bout my chard. hugs, Chanda - alucard_man Sunday, December 11, 2005 9:41 PM Re: How I eat leftover chard This veg looks bad and tastes good. I warm up cold pizza and dump leftover chard in it. My Mom or Aunt both cook it now and one or the other usually has extra. I love garlic; but never thought of putting garlic in with the chard. I am not an adventuresome cook; and this proves it! LOL Well, actually, I am not a cook at all. (sigh) In fact, truth be told, I hate to cook. But my health dictates that I eat better and that means learning to cook. You would think, at 54 years old; I would be able to cook. LOL In the past; my specialties were 1) out of the box 2) out of the can and 3) out of the freezer 4) out to dinner. What that boils down to is that if I couldn't dump it in a pan or stick it in the oven; I didn't cook it. That has left me not only unable to tell by looking at a recipe what it will taste like, but sadly lacking in the ability to look around and combine ingredients. > > Colleen > PS I currently live in Windsor, Ontario which is directly across the river from Detroit, Michigan. I was born & grew up in the metro Detroit area (Dearborn - home of Henry Ford) and lived there up until 1999, when I moved to Canada. > >
