Guest guest Posted December 8, 2005 Report Share Posted December 8, 2005 Turkish Bulgar Pilaf 1 1/2 cups bulgur 3 tablespoons butter or margarine butter 1 onion chopped 1/2 cup canned chick peas, drained 3 cups vegetable broth 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper and 1/2 tsp. mixed dried herbs of choice Saute onions in melted butter until tender-firm. Stir in bulgur and continue to cook and stir for about 3 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Stir. Turn down fire as low as possible and let cook for 10 to 15 minutes more. Remove from heat and let rest for at least 15 minutes, fluff before serving.
