What does jicama taste like...water chestnuts? It is crunchy right? And you

serve it raw? Salads?

Reminds me of a waterchestnut or a sunchoke, also. I love it.

So, how do you prepare it...just for salads? Do you marinate it? I take it you

peel it? Anything that I should know about it...quirks...

Peel it, slice in thick matchsticks and sprinkle lime or lemon juice over it and

then a dash of chili powder. LA style. You can dice it and toss in with your

salad, just peel and eat. It won't become starchy like a potato if you add to

cooked dishes or while a soup is boiling. If the skin is maked up that's

normal.
