Guest guest
I hope you feel better soon. Keep warm and get plenty of rest. I have never ever even tasted Boston Brown Bread. This is something I would like to try soon. I don't have a coffee can so I'll make it in a loaf pan. All vegetarian recipes are welcome, happy you posted this one. I had the idea hit me that with holidays so near it would be a good idea to toss our favorite holiday recipes in here too. This seems like a perfect bread to serve guests. Hope you are up and in good health soon. We love your posts. Get well hugs, Donna Jane <twoslim wrote: I know this isn't a Christmas recipe but I made this last week and I wanted to share a favorite recipe of mine. This is such a busy time of year, a pot of baked beans in the crock pot and a warm brown bread is easy when there is so much to do each night after work. Beans are my absolute favorite comfort food, I grew up on beans and brown bread EVERY Sat night. I've been so sick with a cold and bronchitis for the last several weeks that I haven't been part of this wonderful group recently. I just wanted to start off again sharing something that I like. Boston brown bread is typically a little heavier then this since it's made with a mixture of rye and wheat flours, and it's usually steamed. This is EASIER, it's lighter and more like a quick bread.
