Guest guest
I met Alice Waters briefly and got to hear her speak when she visited Portland and was a guest at the Portland Farmers' Market. A friend of mine was also there as she adores Alice and bought me her cookbook, which is all about fruit. It was a lovely gift because at the time I couldn't afford it, but she was insistent that it was essential that I have a cookbook by Alice. To tell the truth, I haven't made anything out of it, but I do enjoy reading it. If I ever make it back to SF, I'd love to go to Chez Panisse. I have the Fruit cookbook too, but haven't made anything from it yet... I agree it's nice to read as well (I love cookbooks like that). > If I ever make it back to SF, I'd love to go to Chez Panisse. Definitely go. It's up in Berkeley, maybe half a hour northeast of SF.
