I was trying to find the seitan in a box mix at Wild Oats. Linda do you know

the name of brand you use?

Thank you, Isis

DSL Something to write home about. Just $16.99/mo. or less

Okay, I use Arrowhead Mills Vital Wheat Gluten. It is probably over in the flour

part of your store. I get mine from Safeway...We used to have a Wild Oats, but

it is gone. Ask them if you can't find it and maybe they will bring it in...they

are pretty good about that. Someone should have it since people who bake bread

at it to their recipe to get a better sponge. The recipe for making seitan is at

the bottom of the box. Otherwise, try the ready made seitan probably over in the

dairy case where the tofu is. It has to be kept refrigerated. Good luck. Oh,

yes, any brand will work, but do get " Vital Wheat Gluten. " When you are ready

and want to you can make it from scratch with flour. I don't. I am too lazy.

Linda I'm lost sometimes trying new vegetarian recipes or finding

ingredients and I want to thank you and everyone for taking the time

to post detailed replies when there's a question.

Got it now, I will try to find it in the baking isle. If not I will

ask them to order it for me.
