Guest guest
Did you talk about it in here? I thought maybe they pulled the plug on that product. I didn't see them this year. Last year they pushed them on all the vegetarians shopping in Whole Foods, if you bought the unturkey roast you get the gravy on the side free and all that. I don't recall you mentioning it, I may have missed your post. I sure would have told you. Such a waste of money. I don't really know how you can doctor that thing up. I tossed the leftovers last year. I always make one of the lentil or TVP loaves from our files. Very inexpensive and the leftovers make a wonderful sandwich and they are fail proof. How was the rest of your meal? I;m miserable right now. Stuffed. I have the rest of it to figure something else to do with it. Any suggestions out there? Maybe I will chop it up and hide it in something. I hate waste. Maybe with spaghetti sauce turned into enchilada sauce. Spicy. My daughter knows I will try to get it down all of us regardless. LOL We too will make a normal delicious dish next year. We know better than to try to mimic m@%t. Just that we are slow. learners. However, you are facing the firing squad for not warning us. Where the h*ll. were you when I was talking about it anyway? linda " Let the sound take you away. " " Magic Carpet Ride " Source: Steppenwolf Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Guest guest
I don't know if I talked about it in here for sure...did on one or two of the other lists and figured you had seen one of those...the feral list...I think I saw you say something on it about the Uncheese cook book? Okay, I will let you off the hook! LOL Well, maybe, as long as you make sure that next year we have a main dish to die for so start working on that now. I am a hard woman to please! <grinning> The rest of our meal was really delicious and yes, we are all in extreme pain and agony. We still went ahead though and had our vegan Black Forest Cake which the pastry shop made for us. They make exquisite desserts. Love them to pieces because you know that they understand what the nuances about veganism is, like using sucanat or beet sugar, etc. However, I could do without the pain. The dressing and the gravy from the Un-Turkey though was good everyone thought. Just the un-turkey was the pits. linda - purplepassion I don't recall you mentioning it, I may have missed your post. Guest guest
Oh those Uncheese cookbooks stink. I do not like them at all. I know a good cookbook when I see one and I do not recommend those even at used book prices. My 2 girlfriends and sister cooked out of them and said the same thing. I did mention them in the Feral. I have so much to do in this group it's very hard for me to keep up. I get the Feral daily digest and run through it. I know PT has the same situation. Her group is busy so she has this group on daily digest. Somehow we manage to post a few recipes each and try to answer what we can. I probably missed those posts or I would give my opinion. We had it last year and not one of us liked it. I think I ate the kmost but didn't enjoy it. I find the homemade loaves are 100% better tasting , less expensive and make great left overs. Yawn Yawn, I better get in bed.LOL Donna linda <lindai81 wrote: I don't know if I talked about it in here for sure...did on one or two of the other lists and figured you had seen one of those...the feral list...I think I saw you say something on it about the Uncheese cook book?
