Guest guest
OK, I'll make a few points right off the bat, LOL. This isn't meant to be fancy, just like a quick fix, and I guess it could be used to warm up quickly on a cold day or what not, or just as a quick fix for dinner. (That's why I came up with the name " Bizzy Bee " on it...it's quick and perfect for a busy person! :-p) One warning: It's got a good bit of green in it, so picky kids might not be thrilled with it, LOL. Sara's Bizzy Bee Vegetable Stew It's made with canned veggies, I know, not the best thing in the world, but it was what I had on hand to experiment with last night!!! LOL! :-D They're all your basic 15 ounce cans. :-) 1 can of regular golden corn 1 can of green beans (I used the french-cut style because it's the first thing I grabbed from the pantry, but the regular cut could be used too and might even work better, but I think the french-cut gave it a neat aesthetic appeal.) 1 can of asparagus 1 can of mixed veggies Just put all that into a slow cooker on about 2 and let it cook for about an hour. You could warm it up on the stove too, because I reheated it today on the stove and it only took it about 10 or 15 minutes to warm back up. :-) To me it tastes pretty good, and it's so basic! The aparagus give it really good flavor I think, and you can add more veggies to it or you can take out a veggie ya don't like and replace it. I think sometime I may get some type of beans and put in it, and see how that works. I also want to try it with fresh veggies, because I know that's way better than canned. So for a fancy dinner? Probably not, LOL. But a dinner at home that's ready in about 20 minutes, or to warm up after coming in from the cold? Sure, why not? :-) Have a great day everyone!!! :-) Peace Up, ***Sara*** " There were no slaughterhouses in the Garden of Eden. "
