Guest guest
There is no way to do it. I am also a member of a moderator or listowner group and all the pros that have been with since forever say there is no way. This same question gets asked alot. ClubMasters/ It is set up like that to protect listowners from having people steal their lists away, but as it is it also keep lists like this from ever getting a proper moderator in place once the owner is gone with a trace. Oh well... You are all welcome to join us over at QV2. 2/ We have it set up just like this list except it is moderated by myself and several other members from here, and we have transfered and are still transfering all the recipes from the files here to the files there. There is no spam allowed. All new members are moderated to help keep rogue sex spammers from doing their hit and miss emails of perversion. ~ PT ~ 2/ , " Susan Rhee " <sulerhee49@e...> wrote: > Darlene, > > When you ever find out how to do this, please contact me directly with the how-to. I am in a women's health group bombarded with filth because the owner is MIA with a bouncing account. I would like to become the owner of it and clean it up; but so far I can't figure out how to do it, and I can't reach a human being to discuss this at . > > Susan Rhee > - > Barry & Darlene > > Monday, October 13, 2003 8:04 AM > Moderator, was Re: Tired of looking for dates? > > > Is there any way I can take over as moderator of this list? Guest guest
Hi PT, Thanks for letting me know this. It is a shame that great groups neglected by MIA owners cannot be saved by members who cares. Susan R. - ~ PT ~ Tuesday, October 14, 2003 2:05 PM Moderator ~ there is no way There is no way to do it. Guest guest
In every single group I own, I create a profile with the same name and make it an owner as well so that if I ever go MIA myself, the other moderators can access it via the profile's password I give them. For instance, my group HerbsAustralia has me as its Owner, and one other Moderator. It also has a member called herbsaustralia that is an Owner as well. I've given the other Moderator the password just in case. Love Talisynn , " Susan Rhee " <sulerhee49@e...> wrote: > Hi PT, > > Thanks for letting me know this. Guest guest
That is a great idea and a very wise thing to do as a listowner. Unfortunately it is too late for such measures here and this list is left to the whims of any spammer that happens by. We really get hit with some cruddy junk, too. ~ PT ~ , " talisynn " <talisynn> wrote: > In every single group I own, I create a profile with the same > name and make it an owner as well so that if I ever go MIA myself, > the other moderators can access it via the profile's password I > give them. > > For instance, my group HerbsAustralia has me as its Owner, and one > other Moderator.
