Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I'm Linda and just came across this group on a fluke within a couple of weeks ago. I was diagnosed with MS three years ago this month. Am attempting to deal with it by alternative means. One of those is that Vegan, Raw, Vegetarian is better for me. One of my problems is that I live in my former husbands house and he is strange about food. When I feel okay to cook, which I love to do, I have tried a few vegetarian concoctions, like a split pea soup I made a week ago, which he enjoyed. When he saw eggplant, he wouldn't eat it. He didn't even try it, and it was a Japanese slender eggplant grown in the container garden I had this past summer. It actually was a good dish. I'm not sure what to do, actually I don't even want to be here! Does anyone have any suggestions for any part of this? I know I've stated so much here. I'm 55 and unemployed. Have had difficulty with the illness. I apologize if I have done anything wrong here, and won't do it again. Take care & thank you for the recipes!! Guest guest
Hi and Welcome Linda! First of all good for you being proactive with your health! I understand what you are going through. I am basically the only one in my family that will eat vegetables. My mother is doing better. My sister, father and other members still react to them like they are poison. My mother needs to develop her backbone and make meals she enjoy and physically feel better doing it. She is coming around (FINALLY she's 72 years old!). Make your meals and enjoy your good health. EX-Hubby is an adult and will make his choice no matter how silly they are. I am going to write to you directly on other issues you brought up in your post to keep this group from going off issue. Also, there is an off-shoot of this group called Quick Vegetarian 2 which has monitors. Many members of this group are also members in that group (like me :>)). Best wishes Susan Rhee - Linda Solomon Friday, October 10, 2003 6:10 PM Hello all just came here in the last couple of weeks..........
