Guest guest
The book " Like Water For Chocolate " , upon which the movie was based, contains a wonderful recipe for stuffed poblanos, called Chiles en Nagoda, which were served at the wedding scene in the film. I don't have the book in front of me but I seem to recall that the recipe called for both pork & nuts. I made a vegetarian version, which was delicious. I don't see why you can't just leave the nuts out, too. However, this does NOT qualify as a " quick vegetarian " recipe. They took me all day to make when I made them for a party a few years ago. This is a special recipe as it gave all the wedding guests the urge to run off & make love with their partners. When one of the guests asks Tita what makes them so special, she says that they are made, " con amor " . I guess that's the secret ingredient in any good recipe ;->
