Guest guest
This makes 3 tall glasses - perfect for breakfast or a dessert. I accused dh of adding ice cream to the concoction - it's so creamy. Put 2 bananas in a blender Add ice up to 3 " of the top Add soymilk or milk to top of ice Throw in some PB to your taste - I like the " natural " kind best - plus that gives more texture - about 1/4 - 1/2 cup If you want something sweeter, add some maple syrup or honey Blend till smooth. When I have smoothies for breakfast, I'm usually ready for lunch by 10am - but this one has a lot of protein from the PB and soymilk and I promise you won't be hungry til lunch! I haven't been participating much lately I need to get more active in this group again... I'm going to send in a few recipes on people's requests - crock pot and main dish stuff. I have good pasta sauces & soups for crockpot, and some good adapted main dishes like cabbage rolls that are awesome!
Guest guest
This looks great, thanks! I love having bananas on my peanut butter but I never thought of making a smoothie with the two together! I get up very early in the morning (4 to 5 am) and don't want to deal with food, but I am chronic hypoglycemic and must have something to keep the blood sugar even; so I make this smoothie. 1 banana 1C soy milk 1C orange juice 2 T of either ground flax seeds or fax seed oil 1 scoop of soy protein with vitamins and minerals I drink this slowly right after exercising and while I am doing chores. Later I have a breakfast. Susan R. - angelicwun Monday, July 21, 2003 1:37 PM PB/Banana Smoothie This makes 3 tall glasses - perfect for breakfast or a dessert. Guest guest
This one looks great too! I need to go buy some flaxseed. I have found out that it is good for 2 health things i have problems with - dry eyes, and KP (those red bumps some people have on the back of their arms... I just happen to also have them on my legs and face too - bleh!) > I get up very early in the morning (4 to 5 am) and don't want to deal with food, but I am chronic hypoglycemic and must have something to keep the blood sugar even; so I make this smoothie. > > 1 banana > 1C soy milk > 1C orange juice > 2 T of either ground flax seeds or fax seed oil > 1 scoop of soy protein with vitamins and minerals > > I drink this slowly right after exercising and while I am doing chores.
