Guest guest
Hey all, I adapted a couple of recipes into this, and it's wonderful, IMO! Faux sausage gravy, 4 servings Take: 2 crumbled veggie burgers (for Gluten Free, we use Certified Organic brand, but it has eggs) Melt 2 Tbsp butter in a jar. Add 2 Tbsp corn starch and 1.5 cups milk. Cover with lid and mix. To burger crumbs, add 1/4 cup diced onion, ground red pepper, black pepper, garlic pdr, and SAGE!!, and salt to taste. Mix. Cook, wet with oil but not dripping, for ~1 min. in med hot skillet. Add jar mixture (white sauce). Rinse jar with ~.25 cup water and add to skillet. Stir OFTEN. As mixture simmers, add 2 Tbsp cornstarch and .5 to .75 cup milk to jar. Mix and add to skillet. Simmer to desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper and serve. Serve over sliced bread, mashed potatoes, biscuits, dressing/stuffing, sauerkraut, corn... Jo
