Thai Tofu with Garlic and Pepper

> Ingredients:

> 2 tsp chopped garlic

> 1 tsp coriander powder

> 1 tsp blk pepper

> 2 tlbs soy sauce

> 1/2 tsp sugar

> 4 tlbs vegetable oil

> 1 1/2 cups of tofu

> Directions:

> In a bowl, mix the first five ingredients. Cut the tofu into squares or

> triangles and place in a flat dish. Pour the mixture over the tofu and

> letset for an hour. Heat the oil and then fry the tofu and spice

> mixture untilgolden brown. Serve over rice or oriental noodles.

> Notes: For this I usually freeze the tofu then let it thaw overnight in

> the refrigerator. This allows you to squeeze extra moisture out of it

> like a sponge. I also use less oil than the above recipe (around 3

> tlbs. While this is supposed to be eaten with rice or noodles, my

> family likes like these tofu pieces on tortillas with salsa and chopped

> tomatoes and cilantro.
