WHAT!!!! America are the ones who want a war. When was Saudi Arabia involved in this???? Never!!!! You have your facts completely wrong. Who was the only country in the world to use the Atomic Bomb??? Is that America I hear? Terrorists, are not a country!!! They are a few minority of people. If that was the case, all of the Irish people in Ireland would be dead by now because of the IRA. War is not the answer as we have learned in Ireland, peace is the only way. We are all human. Besides, has Iraq actually gone into other countries and upset them? No. Has America? Yes. American troops are passing through Irish Airports everyday with weapons of mass destruction on board. Ireland is meant to be a neutral country. But America is bullying us and the UK because we are small and depend so much on America. Who are the real bullies now?

Okay. Again, not all Americans want the war. Some polls say most of us do not. I do not. A lot of us are doing all we can: protests, bugging the heck out of congress and the president, prayer vigils, letters to the editor, op-ed pieces. There is even a major grass roots effort tommorow to have every senator's office in all 50 states have their phone ringing every minute of the day tommorow. How organized and cool is that (for more info go to Moveon.org) ! If you want to direct anger at the American government fine. But why direct it at Americans on this list, many who feel similiarly about it all as you do? Even if some do not, everyone has a right to their opinion.

I can understand where some of your feelings come from. America has done some pretty crappy things around the world in the past, just as every other country has. We need to be honest about that. However, America has also done some pretty good things around the world, and so have others.

I look at everything our government tells us with a very critical eye. However, there is enough evidence to convince me that Saudi high-ups have funded major terrorists groups. If some Americans want to boycott Saudi oil that is their business. Maybe they feel they have their reasons.

BTW though, this forward is an urban legend. It is listed on the urban legend site. I found out because I forwarded it on my church forum and some showed me the urban legend site. I'm so conspiracy minded that I figured it was made up by the gas companies claiming NOT to be buying Saudi oil to get extra business. Who knows?

Irish Veggie, I appreciate the debate. I am not someone who thinks other countries shouldn't question America. I seek out hearing what other countries are saying. I do think you are not approaching the subject in the best way though. Your comments seek to pigeon-hole Americans. Just like folks everywhere, we are diverse and don't deserve to be pigeon-holed.
