Before you delete this,or flame me for Spam, read on, there is ABSOLUTELY

NO FEE, NO MONEY involved in this, just read. I will tell you how to

conduct a search to find if you have any lost money and how to claim that

money.

Thousands of Americans have money coming to them that they don't know

about. Legally, if you have money coming from any legal source, eg. back

pay, pension, rent deposits, utilities deposits, FHA MIP (mortagage

insurance premium {I once got a check for $2,700 from my first home which

had an FHA mortgage) etc., the keeper of that money must turn it over to

the state when they cannot find you. I found $199.92 due me from a former

employer that was dated 1995, I found it 6 weeks ago when I just happened

to search out this site for fun. I had no idea that this money was due me.

There is never a need to pay anyone any money to search out databases or

file any claims for you. You can do it yourself and keep every cent for

yourself.

Go to this site: http://www.unclaimed.org/ There is an area in GREEN that

says " Owners Here " . Click on this link.

This page is where you pick a State. Be sure to search every state you

have ever lived in or worked in. Also if you had relatives that have

passed away and there is any chance that they may have left you any money,

search out that state also.

Be sure to search under all your names. For example, women should search

out their maiden names or other married names.

If you are lucky enough to find that you have indeed found money that you

believe is yours here are the steps to claim your money.

First follow the steps on your states site to file a claim. Do not

provide any documentation yet, just fill out the form and send it in to

the address provided, they will send you separate forms.

In the meantime, get your documentation together while you are waiting.

You will need to provide the following documentation.

Copy of your current drivers license. If you don't have one, birth

certificate or Passport will do.

Copy of your Social Security Card.

If the address listed in the claim is a former address (not where you

currently live, you need to provide proof that you lived there. A tax

return or W-2 showing that address for that year will do fine. Also bank

statements, utility bills, phone bills, will do fine too.

Proof of name change. Say the money is in your maiden name, you need to

make a copy of your marriage certificate. If is is in your married name

and you are divorced and have taken back your maiden name, then provide a

copy of divorce papers.

NEVER mail them ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS. Copies only.

Once you get the forms from the State. You need to carefully read all the

directions and fill it out carefully and provide all the documentation

they require. Most likely (it was in my case) you will need to have the

forms notarized by a Notary Public. Your local municipal building

(township/city clerk) will notarize the documents for you. Most times they

do not charge a notary fee for township/city residents. NOTE: You must

sign the form in front of the notary. Do not sign it until you are told to

do so by the notary. Make sure you bring several forms of valid id with

you when you go to the notary. By notarizing the documents they are

attesting that you are who you say you are.

Once everything is completed, make yourself a photocopy for your records

and mail off the completed forms. Make sure you put on enough postage.

Have it weighed at the post office if necessary. It make take several

weeks for you to get your money.

Take a few minutes and do a search. You just may find some money that you

didn't know you had. http://www.unclaimed.org/

If you do find any money, drop me a line to let me know.
