couscous ideas

HiAt my house we love couscous. As previously suggested, I really like it with a thick tomato-based broth vegetable soup. When I was 18 yrs old I was first introduced to couscous by a roomate who used it in a Morrocan dish. It was made with chicken but I like to duplicate it by using some of the fake chicken stuff, peas, and steamed or grilled squash, zucchini, onion, and pepper. I looks pretty if you mix the peas in with the couscous and then serve the fake chicken and veggies on top. My boyfriend really likes making the couscous out of a box that's flavored olive oil & garlic. He serves it with Gardenburger's riblets and a side or two of veggies. Don't know if you're familiar with the riblets, but they taste very much like b-b-q pork. I didn't think they would go well with the couscous at all, but it actually tastes pretty good...esp considering he can make this meal in all of 10 minutes :pkaren :)contact owner: -owner Mail list: Delivered-mailing list List-Un: - no flaming arguing or denigration of others allowedcontact owner with complaints regarding posting/list or anything else. Hi

At my house we love couscous. As previously suggested, I really like

it with a thick tomato-based broth vegetable soup. When I was 18 yrs

old I was first introduced to couscous by a roomate who used it in a

Morrocan dish. It was made with chicken but I like to duplicate it by

using some of the fake chicken stuff, peas, and steamed or grilled

squash, zucchini, onion, and pepper. I looks pretty if you mix the

peas in with the couscous and then serve the fake chicken and veggies

on top. My boyfriend really likes making the couscous out of a box

that's flavored olive oil & garlic. He serves it with Gardenburger's

riblets and a side or two of veggies. Don't know if you're familiar

with the riblets, but they taste very much like b-b-q pork. I didn't

think they would go well with the couscous at all, but it actually

tastes pretty good...esp considering he can make this meal in all of

10 minutes :P
