Guest guest
Well I sure had a real good supper tonight. LOL Sorry but I just had to brag. I made what I call Spanish Rice, tho I know the Spanish people would think otherwise. Here is the recipe if you're interested in making it. 1 medium onion, chopped. A little bit of Cabbage, chopped, Sauté both in olive oil. 1/4 to 1 teaspoon of the following spices to taste: basil leaf, poultry seasoning, sage, garlic, black pepper, celery seeds. Add 1/3 cup of white or brown rice (which ever is your preference) and then a large tin of Herb tomatoes and 1 tin of Romano or any of your favorite beans. Cook till the rice is done and the mixture is nice and thick. Add water ever so often to keep from sticking and also stir so that the food doesn't stick either. It really is yummy. At least I think so. Happy eating. Welcome aboard Rose. You'll find a lot of yummy recipes in here. I'm a ovo-lacto vegetarian for I do eat eggs and drink milk. I'm trying to move more into Vegan. I don't eat as many eggs as I use to. Well I had bad experience Rose when I flew but it ended being very funny. I had requested for a vegetarian meal and there was a communication barrier between me and the lady who arranged it. I had told them that I do eat eggs and drink milk but for some reason, and I'm not sure what happened but I was served this beautiful fruit platter and believe me it was really good and colorful. But then I was brought another dish and that was what floored me. There on this plate, decorated so nicely tho, was this slice of plain white tofu with a bit of jam or whatever it was on top of it and some other things. I took a couple of bites of the tofu and I almost gagged. I just couldn't eat it. Well I had to fill out this form of how the Vegan meal tasted and all. I filled it out thinking that they would look at it AFTER I was off the plane. Well the steward and stewardesses didn't. They looked at the card and then at me and back at the card and back at me. This went on and I was getting a little nervous. LOLOL The steward came and talked to me and guess what they brought me another plate with scrambled eggs and potatoes and more fruit and milk and juice. I thought I better eat this because they were so nice to me and I just didn't have the heart to tell them that I was getting full. I managed to get it all down and by the time I got off the plane I was well stuffed. They all apologized so sweetly to me. How could I stay mad at them. By this time I was laughing inside and almost bursting the seams. LOLOL Some flights are bad and some are really good. Depends on what airlines. I found the American Airlines to be the best and United Airlines, well I won't go there on that one. LOL Have fun flying. Heehee Well on to answering some more of the emails. Got tons to read. Fun fun tonight. Heehee. JC ===== FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If procrastinators had a club, would they ever have a meeting?
