Guest guest
Move on Pat!! That topic is a few days old, in case you didn't notice I have posted recipes on the site, so your comments are a bit old, so move on, cos I know I'm trying to, but yet you still bring it up. I have made my comments, and you must not have heard. They are landing in a neutral country. (go and read them again to see my point) Pat <JANEWAY wrote: Right on Sheila! I'm delurking here to applaud your posts! This is not a political list. It's a vegetarian list. And I too, am very proud of our country, our wonderful President, our troops and support the War on Terror! Kindly take the anit American comments elsewhere. Isn't there a moderator to this group? Where are they? Pat - Sheila Kyer Thursday, January 16, 2003 4:29 AM Re: Why are you Vegetarian? We don't want your Military refueling in our land. That is a fact!!!! >Obviously your country's leadership has a different opinion than you do or they would not have grated permission for our planes to have landed in your country. Perhaps you should direct your anger and hostility toward your own government. You need to get your facts, history and geography right, just like George Bush needs to. >You don't exactly have your facts straight about our country either, so perhaps you could follow your own advice, or perhaps state your comments on a list where people wish to have political debate. This list, unless I am completely mistaken, is called the "Quick Vegetarian" for a reason. All we want to do, is for American people to stop thinking they are so high and mighty and this Super Country!!! Because you are not. >When other countries stop running to us asking us to solve their problems for them and expecting handouts, even though they continue to act in a hostile manner towards us, then we will be able to stop being the super country you accuse us of being. And on the flip side of that, if we stopped handing out cash, loans, food aid, etc to other countries, you would probably be the first person to step up and complain that we were not doing our share. I am proud of the country I live in and do my best to be a good neighbor and patriotic citizen. I am so sorry that our very presence in the world offends you, but I am also well past the point in my life where I feel the need to defend myself or beliefs to anyone. Guest guest
I like the idea of international discussion on this topic. But, some of you are right in that this is probably not the place to do it. Maybe we should start a spin-off discussion group if we wish to continue the discussion.
