Guest guest
St.Patrick?? Did you hear of that missionary? Did you know Ireland was full of Saints, why, because of the missionary work they did. http://www.catholicireland.net/religious.shtml They work in 90 countries; in Africa, Asia/Oceanic, Latin America,/ Caribeen and the Middle East. Africa still hosts the majority where there are 1,651 missionaries still engaged in 35 countries. Guest guest
I am sorry I had to reread what I wrote and see how it has been taken different than how I meant it and again that it simply as you put it earlier we all have different ways of talking. I did not mean to say that there are no Irish missionaries or never have been what I meant was where I was there were none working with us on the compounds we were at and by that I simply meant that I had no experience with communication with the Irish since I hadnt worked with them. I have made the choice to spend my life in service to others. I would not want to provoke you in any way. I would much rather learn about recipes that I can adapt too. You see what was available to us has been limited for so long now that I am back in the states with such a variety of foods available I am so excited. Sometimes we dont know what we dont have until we do have. I have been in war torn countries and lived in fear and in hiding during a coop all I can do is pray. Forgive me if I have offended you, I am afraid that sometimes how I type phrases just dont come out right , that was not the way I meant it. Hug,peace Mia Now does anyone have any good curry recipes. I am so looking forward to preparing some meals with lots of variety again. , Pinky Sweety <dublin_pussy> wrote: > > St.Patrick?? Did you hear of that missionary? Guest guest
That is so nice. I feel so much better today, it was just yesterday, listening to the news that really upset me, and all this talk about war! I have gotten a few positive emails from people. I have to learn as well, about how I can help these people (as I've mainly thought about animals before). But it is great to hear about the good things that people do in this world. We need more like them. Irish Veggie (Tracey) ;o) Dear IV:Yes, the American govt does so many things I, as an American, am ashamed about. Only since Ibecame veg in '99 and vegan in '00, have I also learned (woken up) about so many other relatedissues. I will be attending my second peace march/rally this coming Saturday in San Francisco. The first one I attended was in October, held simultaneously with Washington DC, and I believeseveral other countries partook as well. There was an estimated crowd of 42,000 in SanFrancisco, and tons more of that even in DC. It was wonderful!! I took BART, our mass transitsystem into SF, rode the escalator up to the street level on Market Street, and was astonishedat the wall-to-wall people running several blocks up Market. It was an amazing display ofsolidarity and I was proud to take part.We must stick together on this. We'll get through it somehow. It's either that or we'll destroyourselves and the planet will rejuvenate without us. :-|Thanks for your note,Lori PatotzkaSan Francisco Bay Area, USA "i2mgr8ful <mjbeanie1" <mjbeanie1 wrote: I am sorry I had to reread what I wrote and see how it has been taken different than how I meant it and again that it simply as you put it earlier we all have different ways of talking.
