Hi Kris! Good for you having those babies at home,

wonderful isn't it? I'm sure the women in your care

did greatly benefit from you. My L & D nurses, (my

first and only hospital birth) were monsters! They

were the most callous and degrading women I had ever

met and made my first birth experience something so

horrible I weep still to this day. Even after my

healing homebirth, it is still very painful. Bless

you for ensuring other women did not have such

memories!

Warmly,

Allison

Birth is a miracle. I don't care how many time you witness it. It's still the

most amazing miracle! To take the joy out of this event, what a crying shame and

how sad for those nurses who can't see this (and their patients of course). I'm

so thankful that I got to be a part of so many births, and also so many deaths.

That also teaches you a great deal and gives you such appreciation for every day

of our precious lives.

Anyway, I could go on and on but I will spare the list members <G> I'm really

happy to hear your others births were better and you got to do it YOUR way!

Kris

PS To drag this back on topic, I was vegetarian before I had kids, through

pregancies and nursing, and they were veggie until others outside the house

introduced them to meat. They were both so healthy they would literally go

through entire school years without missing a day. Both of them, in their teen

years, made the decision to be veggies. My younger is also an athlete, ranked

very well in high school cross country at the state level. POO on anyone who

says you can't be happy and healthy on a veggie diet!
