Guest guest
Hi Elizabeth, I get this in digest format, so I apologize if you get duplicate info. I had borderline high cholesterol about 2 years ago, and was steadily working my way into the danger zone. I went vegan and within one year, my cholesterol dropped 60 points! If you are seriously concerned with your cholesterol, I would recommend reading/following Dr. John McDougall's plan, or some variation of it. The basic idea is to eat mostly whole grains, vegetables, fruit, beans and legumes and to have smaller amounts of nuts, oils, sugars (preferably no refined) and high fat foods. I more or less follow this model and I feel fantastic. Plus, once you become accomodated to cooking and eating this way, the food is fantastic! I'm happy to share links or more info if you're curious. Nicole ===== Go Vegan! http://www.veganoutreach.org/starterpack/ Animals are my friends . . . and I don't eat my friends.
