I have always said that I would raise my children vegetarian, but I've gotten much opposition from others. They feel that it's not right, but I just can't see myself preparing meat stuff for my children when I don't eat it myself. What do you think? Ri ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I think doing that is a great idea. I wish I had put my foot down more around opposing family members and decided to raise my kids vegetarian back when they were wee. If I had been living way out west here (in Oregon) away from the relatives who aren't vegetarian (in NY), it would have been worlds easier. I always was regarded as a bit of an oddball for not eating meat when I chose this lifestyle as a 15 year old. I think they were tolerant and hopeful I would grow out of it eventually. *lol* I never did. My husband eats meat and has always enjoyed steak. (bleh) He also enjoys many vegetarian dishes and most of our meals contain no meat at all. Maybe one or two days a week they get a meat item served and I mostly make him cook it and handle it since it grosses me out. He is king of the BBQ grill. If they do chicken on the grill, I will just microwave a veggie chicken patty for myself to go with the sidedishes. It isn't so hard to manage around our different eating styles. Good luck to you in your family choices. I wish you much success in whatever you decide.
