Newbie on board..

Hello to everyone. I am writing from east Tennessee next the beautiful Smoky Mountains (Where everyone's diet consists of fried, fried, fried and fried Chicken and hot dogs on the grill rule!) new to the group and "sort of new" to being a vegetarian. I have a beautiful family, with a new addition as of July. Influenced by Dr. Weil's book "8 weeks to optimum health" as well as my personal commitment to all life- I stopped eating meat a few years ago and was able to maintain that until last summer when my father was diagnosed with Leukemia. I went off the wagon at that time only to find out a few months after his death that I was expecting. (Considering I was all ready to head to the luxury time of midlife, so this baby was a shock! LOL) I have just recently decided to get back on and already have begun to feel the benefits both mentally and physically! Glad to be back. I am what I consider an ovo-lacto vegetarian since I simply can't find the will power to drop the dairy! I was on a group the last time and gained some wonderful recipes (Many that I used over and over and were a big hit with my family!) and I look forward to being a part of this group and getting loads of new recipes.
