Orange Poached Pears 3 pears, cored, peeled and sliced 1 cup yogurt 3 cups fresh orange juice 1/4 cup sugar 1 cinnamon stick Heat the sugar and orange juice in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves. Add the cinnamon stick and bring to a gentle boil. Add the pear slices and poach at a low simmer for 8-10 minutes or until the pears are tender. Remove the cinnamon stick and allow the pears to cool. Drain the pears, reserving 3 cups of the syrup. Heat the syrup over high heat, until it is reduced to 1 cup. Set aside to cool. Place pear slices on desert plates.
