Guest guest
I just had to laugh at Liz's post about the bottle of Bragg's Liquid Aminos. Frankly I don't know what that stuff is either, but it gave me a chuckle b/c I have bought stuff only to foget why, and had to toss it out, too. *lol* Now I am curious about it, and can't wait to read what else people use it for. I love learning about new cooking ingredients. Hi MatriXeno. Thanks for that wonderful sounding hummus recipe. I love the stuff. Usually I buy the hummus mix in the bulk bin of my local natural foods grocery store; just add water and stir... maybe a few drops of olive oil. To this I will add a scoop or two of fresh salsa to make a yummy sandwich spread. Try adding a bit of salsa to your recipe sometime; very yummy,IMO, and adds a nice color and texture. *s* Kate, thanks for the reply about marmite. I was wondering if it might contain meat; sounds like it used to. All this stuff sounds so interesting. I am going to keep my eyes open for vegamite and try it sometime. BTW, I get the arrow thingies infront of the text of the person's original post when I am replying to it. I just ignore them since deleting them all would take too much time. Maybe someone here has more techie advice about it. *lol* Hi Lee-Gwen! Welcome to the list. I look forward to reading your posts and recipes. Thanks for the more detailed list of the marmite ingredients. Very interesting. So what is in promite? *lol* Well, that's all I can think of to say right now from this last digest. I hope you all have an excellent friday. Happy cooking. *coffeemug salute* ~ P_T ~ / Poetry is what gets lost in translation. -Robert Frost, poet (1874-1963)
Guest guest
Hi P_T. Yep I love this hummus. It's got such a natural/clean flavor that is addictive and energizing. I will have to try the salsa method. It would only make sense, since I eat my hummus on tostada chips and I love salsa and pico. Cheers, Shawn. > " ~ P_T ~ " <patchouli_troll > > > Hi all.
