Guest guest
I don't know where it got the funny name, but this has been a favorite breakfast recipe of mine for years. It's especially nice to make when you have company, because it takes about 5 minute to assemble, then gives you 20 minutes baking time to allow you to set the table. It's surprisingly filling and everyone I've made it for has loved it. This is a single recipe and makes up in a glass pie pan. It will serve 3-4 people. If you want to double the recipe, use a 9 x 13 glass pan. DUTCH BABIES Put 1/2 stick butter or margerine in pan. Set oven to 400 degrees, and set the pan in the oven immediately. This melts the butter while you prepare the batter. 3 eggs 3/4 c. flour 3/4 c. milk or soy milk Whip up well in a blender. Pour this into the hot pan over the now- melted butter. Bake for 20 minutes. Top with lemon juice and powdered sugar. Decorate with canned, sliced cling , fanning out from the center. Serve immediately. Optional: You can top this with strawberries, blueberries, or whatever strikes your fancy. Melinda
