Guest guest
I just wanted to say a quick hello and say how much I appreciate the recipes that are being shared here. I am a brand new vegetarian and have been lurking for the last couple of weeks to gain insights on what to eat. I have purchased a couple of books on the " how's and why's " of being vegetarian and they include a few recipes but not enough. I cannot afford alot of books all at once and joined this with hopes of getting ideas and mostly recipes. I guess I joined in the middle of an argument or something but just wanted to say that I appreciate all the recipes so far - no matter what form they arrive in... I just cut and paste the ones I like to my own Word document and print them out. I have no recipes to share because I am so new to this, but am looking forward trying some great (and much needed) veggie recipes. All the best, Bonnie. Guest guest
Welcome to the list. My name is Chris, although I have been a member for a long time I have been quite quiet. For your cookbook dilemma and being a new vegetarian, my recemmandation is " The Almost No-Fat Cookbook " by Bryanna Clark-Grogan, two of our favorites are, the 'oven-fried breast of tofu and the Chili Sin Carne. There are alot of -what some people may call transistional- recipes in this book. Also she has a discussion board at Vegsource.com, that may be helpful. Good luck in your adventure.
