This list is what the people d to it make of it. When I first joined, there were lots of recipes posted by lots of people and very little discussion. Lately, new people and/or some old people have seemed to want to chat more, which I find useful... along with the recipes. I appreciate that some people do not have unlimited interenet access so no time to look for recipes... but I do think that this can be solved within the group. If one needs a volume of a certain recipe type, simply type in the topic and ask the group, I am quite sure that you will recieve more recipes than you can ever possibly make.

My comment was simply a suggestion, a request to bring this down to a more personal level and a level of possibilites. I have quite a number of cookbooks, a genetic disease which has long been in my family, and I could easily look in any of those for a recipe with no need of the internet at all. What I find lacking is the personal touch. The "oh, my kids loved this," or the "even my carnivore boyfriend liked this," to the "can you believe my mom is planning to make this again on her own?" add value to the recipe and clue me in to whether or not I should invest my valuable time in making this recipe. In particular, I quite loved the series of mushroom gravy recipes, mainly because it was good, but also because a series of people posted their little variations that they had developed themselves. I am not trying to dictate the content of the group, only perhaps trying to bring it back down to a personal level. If the group thinks I am a nutball, then I will simply find myself a new home, one more amenable to my small town desires of the human touch.
