Guest guest Posted August 31, 2002 Report Share Posted August 31, 2002 Biscuits-Touch of GraceRecipe By :Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method-------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups all-purpose flour 3 teaspoons sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 3 tablespoons vegetable shortening 1 cup buttermilk -- (1 to 1 1/8) 2 tablespoons butter -- meltedPreheat oven to 475 degrees and grease an 8" round cake pan.In a medium mixing bowl mix together flour, sugar, baking powder,baking soda and salt. Cut in shortening until the size of peas. Stir inthe milk until dough is wet. Let stand 2 - 3 minutes. Dough should be verywet at this point.Pour remaining flour out onto work surface and flour hands. Using anice cream scoop, scoop out 2 tablespoons of the dough into the flour,gently shape into a round and place in prepared pan.
