Okay you guys, I dont think I am going to eat anything EVER AGAIN!! (At least until lunch, LOL) I am really glad to know all this stuff though, because I never used to wash my veggies that came in prewash bags. I had heard that you could get e-coli from it, but to tell the truth I didnt believe it because the REASON had never been explained to me. I will make sure to wash all my food well.

Good health to all.

There was e. coli in apple juice from Washington State a year or so ago, due to cattle having grazed under the trees prior to a harvest of apples.Further, anything can be exposed to it. Migrant workers defecate in the fields as they work, because they're usually offered no sanitary facilities, and so often fresh vegetables are infected, too.It can be anywhere, on anything handled by a human being. Insufficient cleanliness in a restaurant or hospital worker suffices to spread things, including e.coli. And women who wear their nails long, or wear false ones, are several times as likely to spread things, by the way.Just some food for thought. On Thursday, August 15, 2002, at 06:21 PM, wrote:> From what I understand, one can get e coli from foods other than > meat...
