Guest guest
Once upon a time, about 30 years ago, we planted a 4-way apple tree in our yard... no kidding, it was grafted and was supposed to produce 4 different types of apples. I remember one branch breaking off, but in the end, this tree produces only one kind of apple, and plenty of them. They're yellow. I have no idea what they are but you can't eat them. They're not just tart, like a Granny Smith; they are both sweet and tart. What happens is every year they fall all over the ground and rot. The lawnmower makes applesauce out of them. Ya' can't eat 'em; ya can't juice 'em. They always make me feel like I'm going to H@LL for wasting them. There's no way I'm going to make a kazillion pies, and to look at my figure, I don't even need one pie. So any ideas of what to do with 'em (other than throw them at people) would be most appreciated. Melinda
