Guest guest
Can anyone suggest a recipe for a marinade or something to brush on vegetable kebabs, please? I've got to provide some for a barbeque party this Saturday and I want them to be really tasty as I expect they will be the only vegetarian offering there. I'm going to do some potatoes in a mustard/honey dressing as well but want something different for the veg. thanks very much Claire
Guest guest
We just use Good Seasons with a little balsamic vinegar. We bring grilled portabella mushrooms to every picnic/bbq that we're invited to. Everyone loves them and we know there is something we can eat. - wobblybobx Thursday, July 18, 2002 1:30 PM barbeque ideas needed Can anyone suggest a recipe for a marinade or something to brush on vegetable kebabs, please? Guest guest
“Can anyone suggest a recipe for a marinade or something to brush on vegetable kebabs, please?” 1 tbs. balsamic vinegar 1 tbs. soy sauce 2 tbs. olive oil (doesn’t have to be extra virgin) 2 cloves of garlic, minced fresh ground pepper to taste This is a marinade from August 2000 Vegetarian times – for eggplant, and it is really pretty good. You could also just use balsamic vinegar and olive oil mixed together Candace
Guest guest
Hi, try some Italian dressing, or teriyaki sauce, or mix some preserves like apricot or pineapple with a splash of soy sauce for a sweet glaze. - wobblybobx Thursday, July 18, 2002 12:30 PM barbeque ideas needed Can anyone suggest a recipe for a marinade or something to brush on vegetable kebabs, please? Guest guest
try these claire: ready mades - 1) spectrum naturals toasted sesame dressing and marinade 2) magic bean jo's sesame miso, both are pretty good if you need something quick either as a pre-marinade or to put on fresh... mixed - 1 part honey, 1 part virgin olive oil, 1/8 part wizard's vegetarian worcestershire sauce, juice and pulp from two limes, 1/4 wedge of fine chopped papaya & dash of wizard's hot stuff (hotter the better for me)... put it all a bowl and mix well... marinade ahead of time (overnight is best) and save some to brush on liberally as you bbq... this sauce has some kick, yet it's still plenty sweet... --- wobblybobx wrote: > Can anyone suggest a recipe for a marinade or > something to brush on vegetable > kebabs, please?
