I was just thinking of >that this morning. My FIL is a farmer and we have fields of soybeans, and >I would love to use them. > Oh wow. Shelly, get yourself a soymilk maker. I don't have one because I don't like soymilk. But I know two people who do have them and use them daily. Here's an example of one: http://www.soymilkmaker.com/product.html I'm not recommending this particular one, I don't know anything about which brands are good. But all you do is put in soy beans and water, and turn it on. From soymilk, you can also make tofu. You can quite easily make tempeh at home too. For very clear, very thorough directions on how to make tofu, see " The Book of Tofu " by William Shurtleff and Akiko Aoyagi, and for very clear, very thorough directions on how to make tempeh, see " The Book of Tempeh " -- same authors. The books also have a great many recipes using tempeh or tofu. I'm going to get my husband to make me a tempeh incubator and make tempeh. I can buy tofu locally, but not tempeh. But I don't have a good cheap source of soybeans! Lucky you. Pat
