Guest guest
Just saw this in a commercial email. Pretty much the way I've been making them for years. Sometimes I add a little rice, chopped scallions, chopped olives, grated carrots, tomato paste Just about anything for variety. Can, also, add an egg or two - if you eat them. Using a " stick " blender mixes everything well -and- give it a nice smooth texture. You can make them up - and - freeze - for use, later. Just be sure to separate with waxed paper and wrap well. Soy Pizza Burgers 2 * cups cooked soybeans, well drained 1 tsp salt * cup oats 1 clove garlic chopped * Tbsp oregano * Tbsp basil * onion, finely chopped * green pepper, finely chopped Mix all the ingredients to make a stiff dough. Roll into small ball and then flatten to make a patty. Fry in a skillet with oil or bake in the oven on a greased cookie sheet. Put a little pizza sauce on top of each burger. Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato, and all your favorite fixings.
Guest guest
Sounds yummy, Arielle! And a lot cheaper than buying ready-made, too. Thanks for sharing this!
