Guest guest
Hi Jennifer, thanks for asking--- This is not only easy to make and satisfying, but good on your pocket book! Basic grainburger: Put left-over rice in a large bowel add seasonings: garlic and onion powder, paprika, nutritional yeast, soy sauce, and italian herbs - dicing fresh onion and left over veggies optional. I like mine spicier than kids so I make some with red pepper. If there is cumin on hand, add a dash. Blend ingredents with a little olive oil and some water before adding oats - rolled and chopped. Sunflower seeds or chopped cashews are a tasty variation. You want it moist enough to hold together as burgers but not too wet. Press the pattles in quick oats Have your oven set at 325 and be prepared to turn them after 12-15 minutes. They will be golden brown with a little moisture retained. Hope you try it - let me know! :-) David Star Everyone seems to like them and even taste good the next day. You can freeze them as patties if there is extra. I serve them on burger buns with lettace and condiments. Guest guest
Thank you for sharing this. I do a lot of bulk cooking to go in the freezer. We homeschool and run our own business so time is a precious commodity. I'm going to fix rice to go with tomorrow night's dinner. I'll just cook double. -- Shara Hi Jennifer, thanks for asking--- This is not only easy to make and satisfying, but good on your pocket book!Basic grainburger:Put left-over rice in a large boweladd seasonings: garlic and onion powder, paprika, nutritional yeast, soy sauce, and italian herbs - dicing fresh onion and left over veggies optional.
