Guest guest
I have a favourite vegie wrap! I use Tumaros' Homesytle Kitchen Jalapeno and Cilantro Tortillas...found at most grocery stores...spread half an Avocado, sprinkle a little tomato, organic baby lettuces and a little red onion...you can add olive, pepper, sprout, or whatever you like...but is is soooo yummy...and I do add a little salt to the avocado, personally. ~shahara in WI shahara lefay * pagan priestess radical momma of 5 *TribeLeFay* icq # 152784873 TerraSoLuna emailist
Guest guest
Hello, I will be going to a family picnic/potluck soon, and I am looking for suggestions for veggie wraps. Does anyone have any favorite wrap recipes? I am looking for something fairly easy to prepare, since I will be using someone else's kitchen. Thanks in advance. In return, I am including one of my favorite (and quick and easy) recipes. I am not even sure where I got the recipe...there is a pretty good chance it came from this group. If so, it is worth re-posting. Thanks again, janene Spicy Black Beans and Rice 1 medium onion, chopped 4 cloves garlic, minced 2 Tbsp sautee liquid (I prefer olive oil, but the original recipe called for red cooking wine) 15 oz (1 can) black beans, drained and rinsed 14 1/2 oz (1 can) Mexican tomatoes, stewed 1/4 tsp ground red pepper 2 cups cooked rice Sautee the onion and garlic until tender (but not brown). Stir in drained beans, tomatoes, and ground red pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, or until tomatoes have reduced to desired consistancy. Serve over rice, and garnish with chopped onion, if desired. - Official partner of 2002 FIFA World Cup http://fifaworldcup.
