Guest guest
This is the one that gets all the compliments, especially warm with some ice cream! It will take me longer to type this up then it would to actually make the recipe. It's one I can throw together during a BBQ so everyone can have some just out of the oven. This is also good the next day out of the 'fridge. Takes on a pudding consistency. Hot Fudge Sundae Cake (recipe compliments of vegsource) 1 cup Flour 3/4 cup sugar (natural or white) 2 Tbl baking cocoa 2 ts. baking powder 1/4 ts. salt 1/2 cup plain milk of choice (soy, rice, almond, whatever) 2 Tbl. vegetable oil 1 ts. vanilla ***************** 1 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup baking cocoa 1 & 3/4 cups hottest tap water ****************************** Preheat oven to 350 degrees. *In a 9x9 pan (or close to it) stir together in the pan: flour, sugar, 2 Tbl. cocoa, baking powder, and salt. *Mix in the 'milk', oil, and vanilla till batter is smooth. (It will be kinda thick, this is where you can add nuts if you want) Spread batter evenly across the pan. *Sprinkle batter with the brown sugar and the 1/4 cup baking cocoa. Slowly pour the hot water directly over the top of everything. ***DO NOT STIR*** It should look like a big swampy mess!!! *Carefully place the pan in the oven and bake 40 min. Then remove and let stand for at least 15 min. before cutting and drizzling the ooey gooey chocolatey sauce over your favorite ice cream.
