Guest guest
YOu can also, instead of buying fresh veggies for making stock, is to freeze leftover fresh veggies (ends of celery and carrots, etc.) or those that are going to go bad and you can't use them, seal them in a bag and freeze until you make stock. Anita - Shara Chilcoat Wednesday, April 10, 2002 10:22 AM vegetable bouillon I live in a rural area and have a hard time finding vegetable broth. From time to time I can find it in a can. But I can almost always find Knorr Vegetarian Vegetable Bouillon. It comes 6 cubes to a box and calls for 2 cups of water per cube. It has 830mg of salt and 1 gram of fat. I dilute it with 3 cups of water as opposed to 2 and just add my favorite seasonings. One thing I do is save liquid from other vegtables. If I cook rutabega I save the liquid and use it to go with greens or things like that. I've had to play with what flavors go well together. Other things are nice with potato water. Rice is nice flavored with different things.
