And, if you don't want to make your own tamarind sauce, you can buy tamarind sauce in a jar and then make the Pad thai sauce from that. The restaraunt slices the tofu very thin, not like this recipe says, maybe 1/8 inch thick and in 1/2 inch squares. That way, the texture isn't a turn off.
