Guest guest
You probably only need to drive in the vicinity of the farm to smell it. Picture a long barn totally full of chickens in every square inch, all crammed in together with enough to sustain life and egg production and no more. They give only enough food and chemicals to minimize losses from sick/dead chickens, and enough nutrition to produce eggs with shells strong enough to withstand shipping. It isn't pretty. Anyone with more knowledge please correct me if I'm wrong. I have only lived in chicken producing areas and seen the farms from the road, and heard some stuff. It was enough to turn me off though Kris --- " Gina M. Guest guest
It certainly wouldn't surprise me! I've heard about the steroid injections and the antibiotics...and what you said sounds like what I would imagine. Alot of what goes on in this country is based on economic gain, not health and proper nutrition. It amazes me what people will do to make a buck.
