Guest guest Posted March 14, 2002 Report Share Posted March 14, 2002 Potatoes in their own Gravy 5 cups diced potatoes 2 1/2 cups veggie broth of choice 1/4 tsp sea salt 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms or more 1 1/2 tsp nondairy margarine 2 T unbleached white flour 1 1/2 tsp nutritional yeast 1/2 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp soy sauce 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper Cook the potatoes in the broth and salt until they are tender and drain them, retaining the liquid. Saute the onion and mushrooms in the margarine until the onion is transparent. Stir in the flour, yeast, and garlic powder. Whisk in the potato liquid until all is smooth.
