Guest guest
Hi Karen.... My husband and I aren't full-fledged vegetarians. We do a five days veggie/two days meat deal. It was his idea and that was fine with me since I've always tried to eat more vegetarian than not. I've found many plain old regular recipes where meat substitutes can be used or the meat eliminated all together. You can get experimental too... an example: I made " Chicken " Paprikash using Boca Spicy Chicken Patties and it turned out great! We love salads, but they don't form the main portion of this diet lifestyle for us. If you want, I can send you recipes we've tried that we now call " keepers. " As with any recipe though, you have to sometimes crank them up to your own taste preferences. There is another vegetarian list on ...Veg-Recipes...that's pretty good, too. You can always use search engines like , google.com, etc. Just put in " vegetarian recipes " and a bzillion sites will come up. The internet is like the largest vegetarian " cookbook " you will ever see! Hope this helps, good luck, and congrats for trying to make this change! I'm 52 years old and know that we're never too old to get healthy! Write me privately, if you wish. Jo

Guest guest
LOLOL You aren't dumb, no more than any of us at least! We all had to start at the beginning. What do you like to eat now? A change is probably easiest if you don't make it too drastic. Just try making some of your favorites without the meat, or maybe with beans, soy, or some substitute. You can read all sorts of stuff and who knows how much to really take seriously? I try to be sensible but not get all worried. There are archives at the list website and many other sites on line with ideas. If you have any specific questions just speak up and someone will probably have an answer or two Kris --- karen way <skateket wrote: > Hi everyone. I'm Karen (Skateket).
