Guest guest Posted October 4, 2003 Report Share Posted October 4, 2003 this is my spaghetti sauce recipe. it makes a big batch and i freeze it in 2 cup portions. sometimes i add mushrooms and black olives during the last hour of cooking. you can adjust the herbs to your taste. spaghetti sauce 3 T. olive oil 2 onions, chopped 3 cloves garlic, minced 3 28 ounce cans tomatoes (i used crushed, but you can use whole or diced...depending on how chunky you like the sauce) 2 6 ounce cans tomato paste 1 tsp. each sugar, oregano, and italian herb blend (i use penzey's) 2 tsp. each basil and salt pepper heat olive oil and saute onions and garlic until tender. add remaining ingredients and heat to boiling. reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
