Guest guest
(((Niccii, thank you! )))))) This may help your daughter's menus - - - Niccii, this web site is the best I've found with free recipes for vegan cheeses: NON DAIRY CHEESE RECIPES http://aboverubies.org/health/cheese.html Besides soy milk, I've seen nut milks and rice milk in quite a few recipes. Nut milks can be made at home, in a blender or food processor - this basic idea/recipe is in many vegan or vegetarian cookbooks. Many non-dairy milk recipes (and other great vegan recipes, like " American Cheese " !) can be found here: VeganMania - Kreeli's Vegan Cookery Site - Vegan Recipes http://www.veganmania.com/ Apparently, many vegetarian-style cheeses that are sold commercially seem to contain a milk/dairy element (whey or lactose or both...). Many of the recipes are very easy to prepare, and the convenience of being able to make my own vegan cheeses and vegan milk appeals to me even more than the money I'll save over buying these things commercially.
