It crops up from time to time

here on this list. I am refering to the subject of what

is a real vegetarian and how some are more veg

than others or are aghast to see some eating eggs

and others using milk or dairy and calling themselves

vegetarian. The fact is there are many different types

of classifications out there these days for what constitutes

a vegetarian, and we don't have to agree or like them all,

but we do have to acknowledge that our way isn't necessarily

the only way.

 

As far as this list goes and how it pertains to it, I formed

this list to be a haven for all manner of vegetarians, and an

encouraging place for those who aren't yet vegetarian but

would still enjoy learning and getting recipe ideas to help

them advance towards becoming a vegetarian. My only strict

policy is that the recipes shared here stay within the confines

of either being lacto-ovo or vegan in content.

 

Some vegans find this unacceptable, while others here

manage to show lacto-ovo vegetarians tolerance. Perhaps

they live in the hope that they can serve us better by their

kindly example and in sharing how they live without eggs

and dairy by sharing their recipes and ideas for doing so.
