Guest guest
George Harrison was a vegetarian from the mid 1960s until his death of cancer (and being stabbed didn't help much) earlier this year. Sir Paul McCartney is a lacto-ovo vegetarian and was since the mid 1980s when his wife Linda, possibly for conscience but, given her cancer death, also possibly for health reasons, became one. They tell a charming story of eating lamb as they watched Spring lambs gamboling on the greensward outside and suddenly making the connection between the living joyful things out there and the meat on their plate. I'm not entirely sure I buy this PR-ready epiphany, but it has the grace to be true, at least, as well as inspiring. John Lennon was, aside from occasional periods of macrobiotic " ten days rice " diets to " clean his system " never was a veggie and of course was murdered in 1980. Ringo Starr, Richard Starkey, just keeps rolling along with his All Star Band. On Monday, August 25, 2003, at 09:29 PM, wrote: > I know at least one of the fab four is a vegan now.
